Boat closing coordination in Annapolis, MD

One team runs the closing from signed contract to completed transfer: the 23-item checklist, the timeline, the survey and inspection scheduling, and every conversation between buyer, seller, brokers and lender. Serving the East Coast.

What a closing coordinator does

Everything between “we have a deal” and “the boat is yours”

Once a price is agreed, a boat sale is a list of things that have to happen in the right order, each one waiting on someone: an agreement to sign, identification to collect, a lien search, a payoff letter, a survey, an acceptance, a closing statement, a bill of sale, a filing. Miss one and the deal stalls.

We hold the list. We request the documents, schedule the survey and inspection, keep buyer, seller, both brokers and any lender informed, and deliver the completed closing package at the end. Most closings take one to two weeks.

Two kinds of client

Private sales. Protecting buyers. Protecting sellers. Closing with confidence. You found the buyer; we close the deal as a neutral third party so neither of you has to trust the other with money or title.

Brokerages. Your client. Your commission. Our closing expertise. Hand us the deal at contract and get your team back to listing and selling. Broker services

What we handle

The parts of a closing you do not want to chase

Timeline and scheduling

Document requests, survey and inspection dates, contingency deadlines and the closing date, tracked and chased so nothing waits on a forgotten email.

Everyone in the loop

Buyer, seller, both brokers and the lender hear from one place. Fewer status calls, no conflicting versions of where the deal stands.

The closing package

Closing statement, bill of sale, transfer documents and the lien release, executed, filed and delivered as one complete package.

Closing day

What happens at a boat closing

The closing statement, bill of sale and registration or documentation forms are signed, any lien is paid off, funds are disbursed from escrow, and the transfer is filed. Most of it happens on your phone: documents are sent for signature, and you can follow each stage as it is ticked off.

If you provide your mobile number we may text you about your closing from (410) 310-7366 — document requests, questions and status updates, never marketing. See the SMS terms.

Fees

Every deal is different — private or brokered, a lien to pay off or not, USCG-documented or state-titled. Call or text (410) 310-7366 or email closings@closemyboat.com with the basics and we will quote it. There is no charge to ask.

Closing questions

What happens at a boat closing?

The closing statement, bill of sale and registration or documentation forms are signed, any lien is paid off, funds are disbursed from escrow, and the transfer is filed. You can follow each stage on our Closing Status page.

How do I safely buy a boat from a private seller?

Agree the price, then let a closing service handle the rest: a purchase and sale agreement, ownership and lien verification, survey or survey waiver, escrow of the funds, and the bill of sale and registration documents executed at closing.

How do I sell my boat without a broker?

Find your buyer, agree a price, and bring the deal to us. We handle the contract, verify the buyer’s funds through escrow, prepare the bill of sale and transfer documents, and close. You get paid from escrow when the transfer is complete.

How do I protect myself when buying or selling a boat privately?

Put a neutral third party between you and the other side. The buyer’s money is protected because it is not released until title is clear and documents are signed; the seller is protected because the boat is not transferred until the funds have cleared.

Is there a third party yacht closing service?

Yes. We act as the third-party closing and escrow coordinator for yacht and boat sales, for private parties and for brokerages.

Can I outsource my yacht closings?

Yes. Send us the deal at contract and we run the closing checklist from intake to completed transfer, keeping you and your client informed at each stage.

Is there a company that can handle a private sale?

Yes — CloseMyBoat.com. Call or text (410) 310-7366, email closings@closemyboat.com, or start the intake form.
